About Me

Combining enterprise engineering expertise with open-source innovation.

For over 25 years, I’ve designed and built software for leading technology companies in medical technology, industrial automation, and other regulated industries. This work taught me how to create robust, scalable systems that meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

In late 2021, my family and I relocated from Germany to Switzerland. This move opened up new possibilities, leading me to found acrion innovations GmbH as a vehicle for both commercial projects and open-source contributions. The open-source work I pursue alongside my professional engagements keeps me at the forefront of technical innovation—experimentation and learning that directly benefits my work in enterprise environments.

My commercial and open-source work complement each other perfectly. The technical challenges I’ve encountered in enterprise projects—whether in concurrency, system transparency, or data processing—directly inspire the open-source solutions I develop. Meanwhile, the innovation and experimentation possible in open source often leads to techniques I can apply in commercial projects. This dual perspective helps me build solutions that are both technically sound and practically useful.

When I’m not writing code or designing systems, you’ll find me spending time with my wife, our children, and our three cats.

I’m always interested in discussing challenging technical problems and new opportunities.
